Walking Tours in France

A complete listing of our Walking Tours in France arranged from longest to shortest and colour-coded according to the level of challenge.
These Walking tours in France are a broad-ranging and comprehensive selection of walking trips that will delight the needs of most hikers, except for those who seek extreme challenges or wish to ‘hike-n-camp’. The tours are continually being augmented and updated, so do bookmark the page and return at a later date to peruse what is on offer. Concise details of each walking tour can be found below. Full tour details can be accessed by clicking the adjacent photo or simply downloading the adjacent tour flyer by clicking on the relevant pdf icon.

All walking tours in France are accessible within one day’s travel, meaning you start the fun the next morning and enjoy from three days to two weeks of stimulating walking. Luggage transfers are included as well as transport that is integral to the programme from start to finish. Trips always include bed and breakfast but, depending on the chosen tour, may not include dinner if a particular tour or overnight resting place offers customers conveniently-located choices.

Our walking tours cover a vast area of France, but are mainly located in the bottom right-hand quadrant of The Hexagon – with the exception of the Loire Valley. They offer a range of themes from which you may choose according to taste and our policy is to place our valued guests in the best accommodation available at each stage of their trip. Luggage transfers come as standard and some tours may include short transfers to the beginning or from the end of the day’s walking, mainly to reduce uninteresting sections that are largely tarmacked.

Each of the walking tours in France is graded according to the level of physical challenge required and colour-coded accordingly as Light, Moderate or Harder. Tours are listed in a general sense according to their length: from longer trips [more than a week] to short, 4-night breaks. Some trips are flexible enough to span two categories of challenge and so are given dual colour coding below – viz., options exist on the day for customers to select the challenge of their choice according to their preferences. However, the main tour page is only able to display one colour for design reasons.
