Scroll down to discover our range of moderate walks in France. Key details of each one are listed below and you can click each photo to visit the full tour page or simply download the relevant tour pdf.

Our classification system is tripartite: light, moderate or challenging/harder. However, this is a general appraisal of our walks in France and is not based on any pure scientific assessment. Please read each tour’s itinerary carefully, taking special care to note the daily distances and elevation gains/losses.

Each day’s walk in France is unique and that is part of the attraction. However, we all walk at different

speeds; might find descents tougher than ascents or vice versa; consider some stretches more challenging than others; and the nature of the terrain underfoot can influence big-time the level of difficulty, particularly in unfavorable weather or the mid-day heat.

Our moderate walks in France may include one day that some would consider as light or others more challenging. At the end of the day, please look carefully at the tour itinerary, distances and elevation gain/loss details to make your own assessment as to whether the tour meets your requirements. Any queries please ask our advice. We’re here to help.

These moderate walks in France may follow an inn-to-inn or multi-centre format. Either way, we move your luggage along from one hotel to the next so you can enjoy to the full your hiking experience.
